We did the animation for this poignant short by the late great Mr. Paul Quarrington. Check out the short HERE.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

In the words of Michael Bolton “Love is a wonderful thing!”
“Lost in Motion” Featured in LA Times
“If you’ve never watched the National Ballet of Canada, or the most recent “Kings of the Dance” tour, you may not yet be familiar with Guillaume Côté, a four-star principal with the stellar Canadian company since 2004.
But he’s recently sent out a fast-spreading international calling card in the form of an impeccable two-minute film called “Lost in Motion” that is the greatest evocation of a dancer’s springy ballon yet on record.”

Royal Canadian Mint featured in the Financial Post
We are thrilled to see the Royal Canadian Mint spots that we did with the wonderful folks at Y&R Toronto featured in today’s Financial Post. They even mentioned us and said really nice things like “they are beautifully animated to evoke the spirit of the environment” and “the lovely animation is borne of the coins themselves”. What a great way to start the day!

Happy new year! Here’s an interesting interview with our very own Gary Thomas.
Recently Gary sat down for chat with the folks at Animation Career Review as part of their Interview Series “to offer some tangible advice to aspiring animators and new grads who are looking for a place like Crush”.

Crush Wins Gold!!!
Congrats to all who won last night at the ADCCs. We are very proud to say were were part of 2 Golds, 1 Silver, and 4 Merit awards. We are extremely proud that we won a Gold for Special Effects for the spot we did for last years ADCC awards. Huge thanks to the team at LeoBurnett and SpyFilms!
Good Luck Stefan!
Good luck to our Senior Graphic Designer, Stefan Woronko, as he runs in his first New York City Marathon this Sunday, Nov. 6th. Stefan assured us that he has had very little time to train in the last while since we have been keeping him so busy but not to worry since he is running in his favourite pair of Crocs. If that is all true he will need all the luck he can get!
Good luck Stefan, and remember…
“It’s rude to count people as you pass them. Out loud.”

New spot for Crush, Y&R, and the Canadian Mint
We were approached way back when it was cold, about a project for the Mint, promoting the design of their new coins. Yoho, Julia and Gary were thrilled to work on the project, partially because it was a chance to work with the team at Y&R (Joe & Darcy, Francheska & Marcelo, & Jac), and partially because the spots were so well suited to what we do. Crush worked with the agency closely from the beginning, producing fully realized pieces to help bring the clients through the process. “Parks” began in July and was delivered at the end of September with Yoho leading the project. Julia designed the end mnemonic and CG animation was added by Leo and Josh. The project allowed us to create something really beautiful, and illustrative that celebrates the beauty of the country. We looked to the National Film Board for reference, as well as the work our designers have done on their own in the past. It was a dream project and we’ll be really sad when it’s over.
BlogTO includes Happiness Project in Best-of Nuit Blanche.
“Inspired by Charles Spearin’s wonderful album of the same name.” This was our second time taking part in The Happiness Project. This time we joined forces with a bunch of great artists and Artists Bloc to create an interactive installation-based exhibit at Oz Studios in Toronto. BlogTo came out and loved it. Maybe you should check it out too. It is still running at Oz Studios until October 15th. For more info click here!
